Adult Bible Fellowship

The adult bible fellowship offers a variety of classes each semester.  The current classes are:

  • GETTING TO THE HEART OF PARENTING VIDEO SERIES IN ROOM 230 (BEGINS SEPTEMBER 5TH):  This series presents material from Tedd Tripp's book Shepherding a Child's Heart and Paul Tripp's Age of Opportunity in which Paul points out that parenting is more than using your power to get children to behave in certain ways. Parenting is all about the exposure and change of the child’s heart. When the heart of a child changes the behavioral change that is needed will last. Learn how to be an instrument of heart changing grace in the little moments of life that God will give you with your children, whether they are toddlers or teens. Taught by Paul Tripp (video) and Pastor Patrick Poteet in Room 230.

  • THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: We live in a world that tells us that there are many paths and varied versions of the truth.  It is views such as these that cause confusion and anxiety for our culture.  In this class, we will examine the Gospel of Luke which has also been called "The Gospel of Knowing for Sure".  Luke tells us that he wanted to provide a detailed orderly account of the life of Jesus that would help His people understand that the whole world is running according to a single plan of God.  At the center of that plan is the life, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.  God has designed for us to see Jesus as the "lens" to understand His will and live our lives for His glory.  We will discuss principles from this gospel and seek to apply them both individually and corporately.  Our goal is to provide assurance and comfort as we grow together both "as" and "in" the body of Christ.  Taught by Steve LeBlanc in Room 130.

  • COLLEGE AND CAREER SUNDAY SCHOOL - VERITAS: A STUDY OF ESSENTIAL CHRISTIAN BELIEFS:  Veritas is the Latin word for "truth."  In His high priestly prayer in John 17, our Lord Jesus prayed that His followers would be sanctified by the truth of God's Word.  In this 20 week study, we will explore essential Christian beliefs having to do with Scripture, God, man, Christ, salvation, etc.  As we do so, we will pray that the One who is truth Himself, the Lord Jesus, will form His image in us more and more.  Taught by Jeremy Mollenkopf and Graham Eubanks in Room 234.
