Local Outreach

We believe that God has placed us here at the corner of Hedgcoxe and Ohio in Plano for the purpose of living out the values of His Kingdom in our surrounding communities.  Our location is no accident!  God calls us to serve Plano and the entire region with the love of Christ.

Where has God called us to missions locally?

  • Mercy Fund provides monetary assistance to our church family as well as to people locally who are in special need.  It also supports several ministries in our immediate area that provide practical assistance to people in need.

  • Explorer/Prime Time Kids is a special time for kids to explore the Bible, play games, sing songs, make crafts, and meet new friends. This ministry meets Wednesday nights during the school year.  Explorer Kids are for kids ages 4 through 4th grade and Prime Time Kids are for 5th and 6th graders.

  • The Missions Ministry exists to extend the Kingdom of God locally and worldwide.  TPC has an active short term missions program that seeks to build relationships with our missionaries, labor with them in the Gospel and support their ministries.  In addition to our foreign missionaries and short term mission trips, we also support several other ministries such as:  Real Options for Women in Plano, Redeemer Seminary in Dallas, North Texas Presbytery – Church Planting Network, Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), Mission to North America (MNA), Mission to the World (MTW), and Third Millennium Ministries in Orlando, Florida.

  • Through our relationship with Children’s Medical Center Legacy, the mission of the Hospital Ministry is to show the love of Christ to hurting families of very sick children. We provide respite care and meet other needs as presented.

  • Vacation Bible School runs for one week in June for children kindergarten through fifth grade as an outreach to the community and the young children in our own church body. The week is filled with skits, memory verses, crafts and games.

  • Bible Study at the Plano Conservatory retirement home meets every other Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  They are currently studying The Psalms.

  • The Korean Ministry meets every Friday night for Bible study and every Sunday morning for a Korean-speaking worship service in room 134. See Rev. Daniel Cho for more details.

  • The Chinese Ministry meets the second and fourth Friday nights of the month for a Chinese (Mandarin) Bible study in room 130. Childcare is provided up to second grade. See Derek Tu for more details.
